In my 40 years of fly fishing, this was the best trip I have ever had and I wouldn’t recommend improving anything! Ron S.
Trip of a lifetime –
Overall trip was a life time of memories. Rebecca and John are great representatives of the Orvis company and had the entire trip organized and executed in a timely and professional manner. My personal thanks for a job well done. Tony T.

Bighorn River Fly Fishing Report – July 2009
Fishing is UNBELIEVABLE! Will post photos soon. Guests catching huge numbers of fish. Several fish 22 – 24 inches. Water flows are still around 12500. While there are not many wade spots, the boat fishing can’t be beat.
Four boats to date have gone under water. From the sounds of things, all rental boats. So if you’re renting a boat, please be careful. It’s a completely different river.
Temperatures this week should be in the 80’s with scatterred thundershowers.
If you’d like to book with us for June next year do so soon. Some dates already sold out.
What a great time again. John and Rebecca are an incredible team, and run a wonderful lodge. The accomodations, food, and quality of the guides help make this a repeat trip. Only complaint is portion size of food. However, to be clear, the food is quite good. Paul P. Washington
Bighorn River Report
The Bighorn River is running approximately 12500 CFS. We haven’t seens flows like this since 1995. The fishing has been fantastic though.
Blue-winged olives and midges are hatching with some tan caddis starting to show up. All the usual nymphs are producing – sowbugs, scuds, black quills, Ray Charles and San Juan worms.
Be careful out there.
Casual experience.
I enjoyed the casual approach to the experience. No TV etc. wonderful. Don F.
